In addition to a regular woodworking presentation, this meeting includes our 2 x4 Event. I’m hoping for great participation from our members. The more projects we have, the more fun for everyone. Remember, everyone who participates is eligible for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Home Depot. The following are the rules for the event:

2 x 4 Event Rules

· The project must be made from a single 2 x 4, no longer than 8’ long.

· You can build anything or everything you want, as long as it is constructed from the 2 x 4.

· Screws, nails, dowels, and dominoes are all acceptable forms of joinery.

· Any finishing method is allowed.

· Any wood species is acceptable.

· You may bring multiple projects, but each project must be made from one 2” x 4” x 8’ board.

· Use your imagination, or Google “2×4 contest” and you will see a wide variety of ideas.

This is our annual holiday social. The local carving and wood turning groups are invited to attend.

Show and tell is the main feature of the meeting.

Also planned is a silent auction of woodworking related items and a raffle of member donated items.
